Candy Corn Gets a Bad Rap Yet No One Says Anything About Circus Peanuts
With Halloween quickly approaching, it's important to get your candy now because you don't want to wait until the last minute. At the end all that's left is the candy nobody wants. Candy is seen as a status symbol and if you live in this one lady's neighborhood, you better not get caught giving out Dum Dums and Smarties.
If you're unsure of what elite candy you need to get for trick-or treaters, CandyStore.com has a definitive ranking of the best and worst Halloween candies. Among the best of the best are the usual suspects: Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Snicker's, Twix and Kit Kats. Chocolate is the main winner here, as you can see.
I think we all know how I feel about candy corn. That's right, I'll admit it, I DO like candy corn- it's delightful! For this year, candy corn ranked as number one as the WORST Halloween candy and Circus Peanuts came in second behind candy corn. CIRCUS. PEANUTS! Are you trying to tell me that those plastic-tasting, orange colored peanut nubs are better than the delight that is candy corn? Blasphemy!
What even are Circus Peanuts? They're like marshmallow treats, only not really. To me it's always felt like biting into plastic. Apparently they're supposed to be banana flavored. I don't think I've ever actually seen anyone hand out Circus Peanuts on Halloween. Come to think of it, I don't think I've seen candy corn be given out on Halloween. I usually see these candies in bulk, never in individual baggies.
Look, if you don't like candy corn, just give it to me. But if you actually prefer Circus Peanuts to candy corn, you can just take your trash candy and walk away, I don't need that negativity in my life. You can check out the 2021 rankings of best and worst Halloween candies here.
