Believe it or not Valentine's Day is less than a month away. I know we are still trying to shake the Christmas glitter out of our hair but it's time to get your brand new calendar out and mark down the Spring Days You Need To Remember. Yes. I made that up.

DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME
We are still a ways away from Daylight Saving Time but it's nice to mark it on a calendar so you can look forward to not being plunged into darkness every day at 5 p.m. We will spring forward and lose an hour of sleep so we can get a ton of daylight until later in the evening on March 13 this year.

WHY DO WE DO THIS AGAIN?
Daylight Saving Time doesn't make much sense nowadays. It was first implemented in Canada in 1908. Daylight Saving Time wasn't put in place for farmers. They didn't want it because it messed up their work day. The real story is that the retail industry wanted it implemented to give people more time to shop during daylight hours.

WHEN WILL THE BUNNY HOP?
As for Easter, you'll be binging on chocolate bunnies and eggs on April 17 this year. Last year it was April 4. The reason why Easter moves around the calendar has to do with the Nicean Accord three hundred years ago, the Julian calendar, and the Gregorian calendar. You can read a really long, interesting explanation here, but because of the internet, we never have to do the math as to when Easter will be - we just have to Google it.
