    Albertson's

You can always tell when fall has arrived, because pumpkin patches sprout up all over town at every Albertson's location. East, west, central, northeast - every part of town has one, so there's a huge convenience factor. The smell of roasting chiles just adds to the fall flavor!

    La Union

One of the best fall scenes in town is in La Union. Their annual corn maze and pumpkin patch opens up September 23rd and goes through first weekend of November. The hours are 5 - 10 on Fridays, 11 - 10 on Saturday, and Sunday noon to 6. The whole family will love the ride to the pumpkin patch in a tractor pulled wagon. If you get lost in the corn maze, just yell for Lucy, the owner - she'll be able to talk you out!

    Lee & Beulah Moor Home

Pumkins and kids are a classic combination, but Operation Pumpkin, a fundraiser that this year will benefit the clothing fund at the Moor Home, pairs doctors and surgeons with the orange gourds! Renee Tanner, the Home's CEO, says the docs work their precision magic on pumpkins that are then auctioned off. Some go as high as 3 thousand dollars - that's a lot of clothes! This year, the benefit is at Dane's Steakhouse - 25 dollars gets you into the benefit and auction, as well as an open wine and beer bar, and delicious Dane's hors d'oeuvres.

    Hobby Lobby

Fresh pumpkins are great, but what if you don't want to deal with a real, live veggie? Go glass! Or ceramic, or twig, or any of the other types of decorative pumpkins that you can find at the two Hobby Lobby's in town. Go glam pumpkin in amber glass, or rustic with a moss covered twig creation - whatever suits you. The best thing about these pumpkins is you just put them in the top of your closet and take them out again next year to enjoy all over again!
