Here are some popular dip ideas for your Super Bowl party.

The Super Bowl is all about the competition, friends, family and of course the food! Everything from finger foods to grilling up burgers and hot dogs, it all starts with a few starters like chips and dips.

Over the years I have narrowed it down to my 5-favorite Super Bowl party dips.

Below are dip ideas that you can use for your party. You can make them from scratch or you can buy them, which is what I do most of the time because honestly, I don’t want to just host a party, I want to enjoy myself too.

All these dips can be paired up with chips, veggies, or even pita chips.

Enjoy your Super Bowl party and dip on my friends!

    Guacamole

Dips don’t get any easier than this…avocados, tomatoes, onions, lime and season to taste. You can add a bit of jalapeño for a nice kick to it too.

Wanna buy it instead? Pick up a bowl of this green creamy concoction at Ventanas Bar and Grill at Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino. This is honestly the best guacamole I have ever had! From the texture to the flavor and it gets extra points for the perfect jalapeño kick.

    Hummus

This is one of those dips where either folks love it or hate it. You can make your own with olive oil, chick peas/garbanzo beans, tahini, garlic, lemon juice and a food processor. You mix this all up and voila you have hummus.

Don’t have the time to play Martha Stewart, then head over to your local market and purchase some Sabra brand hummus. They have over 10-varieties from Classic to Roasted Garlic; it’s fluffy and super delicious.

    Chile Con Queso

Okay this is a special dip simply because my friend Robert makes the best chile con queso in the world. It’s never too runny or too thick and it’s never so spicy that it’s inedible. His is just perfect, so much so that he needs to bottle it up and sell it!

Make your own with Velvetta, Ro-Tel Tomatoes & Diced Green Chilies. Easy right? If you’re still to lazy to make your own you can always hit up Lucy’s on Mesa. That’s as homemade as it’ll come to your table

    Pico De Gallo

This is probably the easiest thing to make, chop up some jalapeños, tomatoes, onions and then season to taste. You can add lime juice and even add some chunks of avocados to make it even tastier.

    French Onion Dip

This is a tried and true recipe that will never fail you. This requires nothing more than sour cream and a pack of French Onion dip mix. Mix and you are ready to go!
