Barker Road Closing Completely for One Day in August

Here is another road closure to keep an eye out on your commute beginning on Wednesday, August 10, 2016.

The City of El Paso has scheduled the full closure of Barker Road from Manor Place to Polo Inn in order to perform necessary warranty work as part of the Manor Place and Barker Road Street Reconstruction project.

The closure which begins on Wednesday, August 10^th will last for one day from 7 am – 5 p.m.  The closure and work schedule may be modified in order to accommodate any unforeseen conditions or events. Residents and business will have access to their property at all times.

This project with an approximate construction budget of $1.1 million included the complete reconstruction of Barker Road from Manor Place to Polo Inn, as well as the installation of a storm sewer drainage system, sanitary sewer lines, waterline improvements, new ADA compliant sidewalks and driveways, and landscaping which improved the visual image of this lower valley neighborhood.
