The Sun Bowl is one of the biggest parties in town. It is a social event, a family tradition, and just an all-around fun thing to do in El Paso. The crowd is mostly El Pasoans who want to see a fun game and hang out, but the Sun Bowl is also a great way for us to show off our city to out-of-towners who travel to see their kids play and to the people who tune in on tv. It's also a great place for unexpected celebrity sightings, as was the case at last year's Sun Bowl when Tim McGraw and Faith Hill showed up to see their daughter, who is a cheerleader for Stanford, perform.

This year, the North Carolina State Wolfpack will face off against the Arizona State Sun Devils. This will be the third time the Wolfpack and the Sun Devils have played each other. NC State fell at Arizona State in 1960 (25-22), but then won in Tempe in 1974 (35-14). This will be the first time North Carolina State plays in the Hyundai Sun Bowl.

The Sun Bowl will be played on December 29th.
