Thanksgiving in El Paso would not be complete without the annual Thanksgiving Sun Bowl Parade, El Paso’s longest-running Thanksgiving tradition!

The 88th Annual Glasheen, Valles & Inderman Injury Lawyers Sun Bowl Parade

If you and your family plan on heading out to the parade this year make sure to plan in advance to avoid any frustration!

The parade kicks off at 10 a.m. sharp on Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 28. El Paso Police will block traffic on Montana from Mesa to U.S. 54 starting at 5:30 a.m., with towing enforcement starting at 5 a.m.

The parade starts at Montana Avenue and Ochoa Street and winds its way to Copia Street, packing in two hours of family fun.

Pro tip: Get there before 8 a.m. to snag the best viewing spots along the route!

Want VIP seating?

Bleacher tickets are just $10 each and can be purchased at several Vista Market locations across the city. These prime seats are set up in front of Emergence Health Network on Montana Avenue.

This year’s theme, “Celebrate, Honor & Remembering All The Heroes Who Have Served,”

Floats featured in the parade will pay tribute to community heroes like firefighters, military members, educators, and more.

The Grand Marshal, Wayne Thornton, will lead over 100 parade units featuring floats, marching bands, dancers, clowns, and even military ceremonial displays.

Can’t make it in person or rather watch from the comfort of your own home?
