71 New COVID-19 Confirmed Cases in El Paso, Texas
As of May 16th, The City of El Paso has reported 71 new COVID-19 confirmed cases, which brings the total confirmed cases in El Paso, Texas to 1,726. Sadly, one additional deaths have been announced, bringing the total COVID-19 related deaths in El Paso, Texas to 46.
May 16th, 2020 COVID-19 Update
On May 11th, The City Council unanimously voted to extend El Paso's emergency ordinances till June 10th, 2020.
El Pasoans are strongly urged to follow safety precautions as the city begins to reopen, along with the rest of the state of Texas. Have some common sense when going out and about El Paso. Even though there has been a drop in cases, that might just mean results have not come in yet. We must continue to practice social distancing as we work to create our new normal in our community.
