Free Dog Calming Treats Available at All El Paso Pet’s Barns

It never fails, every Fourth of July local animal shelters see a heartbreaking trend of frightened pets escaping their homes after being startled by fireworks. 

El Paso Animal Services have repeatedly said that the 4th of July weekend is one of the busiest times of the year for lost pets, as loud booms cause many dogs to panic, jump fences, slip out of collars, or run through open doors and gates.

To help keep pets calm and safe during the holiday, Pets Barn is offering a special Fourth of July giveaway for local pet parents.

Pets Barn Giving Away Free Calming Treats for Dogs This Fourth of July

On Friday, July 3rd all Pets Barn locations will be giving away FREE bags of calming treats while supplies last. No purchase is necessary, and there's no sign-up required. All you have to do is stop by your nearest Pets Barn store and pick up a complimentary bag for your dog.

The giveaway is limited to one bag per customer, so pet owners are encouraged to stop by early before supplies run out.

Fireworks can be overwhelming for many dogs, often causing anxiety, shaking, pacing, barking, or attempts to escape. While calming treats may help some pets relax, experts also recommend keeping animals indoors, making sure they're wearing ID tags or have updated microchip information, and creating a quiet, comfortable space away from the noise.

Pets Barn is also encouraging customers to snap a photo when they pick up their free treats and tag the store on social media.
