Memorial Day weekend is upon us and many in El Paso, TX will have Memorial Day Monday off.

As we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country, the City of El Paso wants to remind residents of changes to city operations in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 26.

City of El Paso Announces Memorial Day Closures and Services

All City of El Paso administrative offices, including City Hall, public libraries, recreation centers, senior centers, and museums, will be closed.

The Department of Public Health clinics, Municipal Courts, and the Tax Office will also not be open to the public.

Trash and recycling collection will not be affected, as there is no regular Monday pickup.

Offices will reopen on Tuesday, May 27, and the regular City Council meeting will be held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28.

Looking to enjoy the day off? A few city services and attractions will be open!

The El Paso Zoo & Botanical Gardens will welcome visitors from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Animal Services will be open for adoptions from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sun Metro and the El Paso Streetcar will operate on a Sunday/Holiday schedule.

Beat the heat at El Paso Water Parks and Community Spray Parks, which will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. across the city.
