There is still plenty of time for kids to have fun and get involved in various summer camps.

If you are looking to keep your kids away from the television, video games or from lounging around all day – you may consider one of these late summer camps.

There is a variety to choose from including The El Paso Zoo, Adventure Zone, The El Paso Museum of Art and much more.

Adventure Zone Summer Camp

Adventure Zone is hosting its summer camp for kid’s ages 5 to 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through August 9, 2019. Lunch and snack are provided. Cost: $30 per day; $125 per week. For complete information call 915-585-9663.

Farm & Ranch Summer Camps

The New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum located at 4100 Dripping Springs in Las Cruces is hosting camps and classes select Tuesdays through Thursdays through July. El Paso Museum of Art

Summer Art Camps offer morning sessions 9:30 a.m. to noon, and afternoon sessions 1 to 3:30 p.m. Tuition: $75 ($60 members). Information: 212-0300 or elpasoartmuseum.org.

Zoo Camp

The week-long camps for ages 6 to 10 are 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, through Aug. 2, at the El Paso Zoo. Campers will learn about conservation and experience live education ofTamandua (anteaters) or Tamarin (monkeys) including behind the scenes tours, crafts, games and more. Safety Town

The annual Safety Town program for children about to start school has free weekly sessions from 10 a.m. to noon Mondays through Fridays through July 27 at Bassett Place. The application must be filled out in person at the mall management office 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday; proof of child’s age required (birth certificate). Scheduling is first-come, first-serve; space is limited. Call 915-772-7016 for more details

The program is open to children ages 5 and 6 with the El Paso Police Department, includes safety topics, hands-on activities, and presentations by guest speakers. Graduation ceremony at 11 a.m. each Friday.
