Anyone can get a toy or a gift card for someone at Christmas. But there are some pretty cool El Paso-centric Christmas gift ideas that don't have anything to do with toys or the same old boring gift card.

1. Zoo membership - The zoo doesn't just have animals. There are a ton of other cool things to do at the zoo. You can let the kids wear themselves out on the Foster Playhouse, ride the African Star Train or brand new carousel, splash around in the splash pad, or feed the giraffes. Get a family membership for $120 and have a full year of fun at the El Paso Zoo.

2. El Paso County Historical Society - Join the Society and take your family to the historic Burges House to learn more about the city, and even your family. The Society has old newspapers, year books, and thousands of other photos and artifacts that you can use for research. If you get your DNA tested by one of those kits on the internet, check out the Society for a hands-on dive into your family's El Paso history.

3. Wet N Wild Season Pass - Over 25 rides and attractions, lots of children's areas and rides, th Atlanti Adventure playhouses and spray park, plus Jaguar Falls, a 6-story family raft ride. You can't go wrong with El Paso's own waterpark. Check out details on their website for season pass information.
