2022 Pop Goes the Fort 4th of July Fireworks Show Will Be Open to the Public
If celebrating America's independence with patriotic music and a massive fireworks display is how you like to do the 4th, then Pop Goes the Fort is the event for you.
Fort Bliss MWR will mark Independence Day at Biggs Park with a live performance from the El Paso Symphony Orchestra followed by the annual Fireworks Spectacular.
But, unlike the 2021 celebration, this year's Pop Goes the Fort will not just be for DOD ID cardholders. Non-military folks will be allowed on base, too, with a recreational pass.
Recreational Pass
The pass gets the general public on base and gives them access to many of the family friendly activities on Ft. Bliss for one year. All visitors over the age of 16 must have one to get onto the installation. More info can be found at THIS LINK.
El Paso Symphony Orchestra
Conductor Bohuslav Rattay will lead the El Paso Symphony Orchestra in a varied program mixing traditional patriotic music, contemporary music, and a pops concert featuring the USO Show Troupe.
According to a post on the EPSO Facebook, “the program will include traditional Sousa marches like The Washington Post and Stars and Stripes Forever and music from E.T., Jurassic Park, The Greatest Showman, Indian Jones plus more.”
Pop Goes the Fort
Gates open at 4 p.m. on Monday, July 4. At least 15 food trucks will be on site, as will numerous inflatables to keep the kids entertained. You'll find a few more details HERE.
