Downtown El Paso is popping nightly thanks to WinterFest, and there's still plenty to do, see, eat and shop while celebrating the holidays.

I live in downtown El Paso a couple of blocks away from the ballpark and see the troves of people caravan every weekend, as families sometimes ten deep happily embark on their holiday adventure.

But did you know that you can also enjoy the WinterFest activities during the week as well? While most of the main festive events take place on weekends, visitors who drop in on a whim can still enjoy an almost crowd-less San Jacinto Plaza throughout the week.

Better yet, with plenty of planning, you can book an ice skating session on the faux rink or indulge in some holiday cheer and a nosh inside the Stanton House Winter Igloos any day of the week.

There is plenty to see and do if you still haven't been, including the return of Trolley Tracks, where local musicians serenade passengers onboard Streetcar #1511 for free every Saturday, as well as the return of the Holiday Movies at the Plaza Theatre, plus so much more.
