It's almost time to get the floaties, propane grill, and cooler out of storage.

Summer is a couple of months away, and that means temperatures are going to start to heat up sooner than later around here. For a lot of El Pasoans that means a trip to Wet-N-Wild Waterworld is imminent.

The home-grown water park announced on it's website it will open for its 40th season on the first weekend in May, beginning Saturday, May 4, 2019. It will be open Saturdays and Sundays only the rest of May, then everyday June through Labor Day.

The 60-acre park features more than 20 rides and attractions including the popular Wild Island Wave Pool, Amazon & Alien Vortex, and its newest and biggest, the six-story high 4-person raft ride, Jaguar Falls. There's also a kid-friendly section and Atlantis Adventures and VIP Suites which can be rented out for birthday parties and other events.

Wet-N-Wild Waterworld is located just outside El Paso in Anthony, Texas.
