Downtown El Paso has a lot going on. The ballpark, the renovation of the 100-year-old Camino Real Hotel, the downtown farmer's market, concerts, the Plaza Theater, and the Museum of Art. More and more, it is also becoming a cool place to live.

Maintenance-free living, historic buildings, and being close to work are becoming more and more appealing, and the El Paso Downtown Management District wants to show off housing options. To do that, eight downtown residential buildings will take part in a tour targeted at potential renters.

The DMD says there is already a lot interest in downtown living. Some residential buildings have waiting lists of people wanting to rent their apartments. There are a lot of options for single people and couples, but the DMD says they are hoping to attract families as well.
