El Paso is one gigantic history lesson, especially in the center of the city. Downtown and the outlying neighborhoods have been around for well over 100 years, and the architecture of the buildings and homes is breathtaking. Sunday, May 3rd, you'll have the chance to walk through six historic homes in Central El Paso to get a close up look at some of that history.

The El Paso Preservation Alliance will be holding their first El Paso Historic Home Tour next Sunday. The Alliance is very committed to preserving historic El Paso homes. They bought and restored a home a few years ago to show that historic homes can be restored and continue to be assets to residents of El Paso.

The homes on the May 3rd tour will be open from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. You can buy tickets at the International Museum of Art, 1211 Montana, on May 3rd from 1:00 p.m. - 4 p.m. Some of the homes on the tour will be 801 E. Rio Grande:
