The summer production was canceled last year after pandemic stay-at-home orders postponed the audition process and rehearsals. Talk of a possible shortened season after the order was lifted was abandoned amid concerns about being able to maintain social distancing in the production and in the audience forcing officials to scrap the entire season.

With the decision to move forward, Viva! El Paso is seeking actors, singers, and dancers for the 2021 season. Tryouts will be held at Hotel Paso del Norte Theatre downtown on Saturday, April 10. Audition information can be found below.

El Paso's rich history and cultural heritage will come to life through song and dance Fridays and Saturdays from July 2 to Aug. 7. Ticket information and the show’s safety plan will be announced soon.
