Visit El Paso Continues Its Virtual “Brown Bag” Series celebrating National Tourism and Travel Week featuring local musicians.

The City of El Paso and Visit El Paso continue to celebrate National Travel and Tourism Week and Economic Development Week showcasing our vibrant regional economy with world-class amenities that make El Paso a destination city.

The campaign kicked off earlier this week with the Virtual “Brown Bag” Series with a tour of the Plaza Theatre along with a virtual cooking demo by The Plaza Hotel’s Chef Andres Padilla along with a tour of the San Elizario, TX historic district.

Coming up today at 6 p.m. via the El Paso International Music Foundation Facebook Page and Instagram - Visit El Paso will showcase the colorful musical landscape of our community along with messages by local business owners peppered in between and a chance for viewers to win a Staycation.

Since 1983, National Travel and Tourism Week was created by Congress to underscore the economic power of travel in the U.S. This year’s theme: The Spirit of Travel spotlights the spirit and resiliency of the U.S. travel industry in the face of the coronavirus pandemic.

During National Travel and Tourism Week we are reminded that although the coronavirus is proving challenging times for many - it is more important now than ever to be reminded of the incredible heart and life-force of our travel industry and workforce in El Paso and surrounding areas.
