UTEP President Diana Natalicio was released from the hospital Thursday (February 25) following a week long hospitalization after collapsing on campus. According to a university press release, she will complete her recovery at home.

Natalicio released a statement thanking  UTEP Police Officer Bion Bell and El Paso EMS "for their quick and skillful response to my emergency,” and the El Paso community "for their prayers and good wishes" and "sincere expressions of concern and affection."

Natalicio collapsed on University Avenue on February 18 as she was walking to the Student Union to vote. No other information about the incident or her health was made available.
