UTEP Dinner Theatre Holding Auditions for Mary Poppins Musical

Calling all actors, dancers, singers, children and adults, UTEP Dinner Theatre will be holding auditions for their newest musical, Mary Poppins.

Coming up this Wednesday, February 18, UTEP will be holding auditions beginning at 6 p.m. for children ages 8-15 and then at 7 p.m. for ages 16+.

Auditions will be held at UTEP at 500 West University Ave, Union Building West Room 209.

Audition Information:

• These private auditions are open to the general public.
• All those auditioning must have a song prepared to sing with a piano accompaniment.
• Everyone auditioning should provide their own sheet music, as a pianist will be provided.
• Those auditioning will also be asked to read from the script.
• There are roles for two children ages 8-15 and women and men from age 16 on up.
• The role of Mary Poppins has been pre-cast.
• All other roles are open. Auditions are private.
• All actors cast will receive $100 for expenses at the end of the run.
• Rehearsals for Mary Poppins officially begin Monday, March 2, 2015 and continue Mondays through Fridays at 7:00 p.m. with weekend rehearsals on April 11 & 12, 2015.

Mary Poppins is scheduled for 23 performances:

• April 17, 18, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 29, 30
• May 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8. 9. 10, 13, 14 15, 16, 17
• If needed, additional performances will be added on:
• May 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31
• June 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 2015
