Here we go again. Two separate sections of I-10 will be shut down for 27 hours again this Sunday, June 23, as part of several ongoing TxDot projects.

The planned closures will affect motorists traveling through Central and West El Paso.

Work on the I-10 Connect project around the Spaghetti Bowl will result in closing I-10 in both directions at US-54 for 27 hours beginning at 3 a.m. Sunday through 6 a.m. Monday, June 24. Up the road at I-10 and Sunland Park, you’ll run into a second 27-hour closure courtesy of the GO10 project. Detours and additional related closures can be found below.

I-10 Connect

I-10 East and West at at US 54
3a.m. Sunday, June 23, through 6 a.m. Monday, June 24

Detour/Eastbound I-10: All traffic will take Exit 22B (US 54/Alamogordo/Fort Bliss/Juárez) and travel north on US 54, take Exit 23 (Cassidy Road), take Exit 22B (Pershing Drive), re-enter southbound US 54 and follow signs to their destination.

Detour/Westbound I-10: All traffic will take Exit 22B (US 54/Alamogordo/Juárez/Fort Bliss) and travel north on 54

Additionally, Ramp C which connects northbound US 54 to westbound I-10; Ramp L which connects Gateway Boulevard West to westbound I-10 at Raynolds; and the on-ramp which connects Gateway Boulevard East to eastbound I-10 at Loop 478 (Copia Street) will be closed

I-10 West between Sunland Park and North Mesa
3a.m. Sunday, June 23, through 6 a.m. Monday, June 24

Detour: Motorists will exit at Sunland Park, then follow the CD lanes westbound to re-enter I-10 West using the Redd Road entrance ramp

Additionally, the North Mesa entrance ramp to I-10 West and the Sunland Park entrance ramp to I-10 West will close
