The Wait Is Over Monkey Rock Family Fun Center Opens In October
Party like an animal when Monkey Rock opens to the public located at the former vacant Sears space at Sunland Park Mall this fall.
The highly anticipated family fun entertainment center is the perfect new spot for families and people of all ages to enjoy. With attractions like bowling, swing suites, mini golf, LED black lite rock wall climbing stations, and arcades, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Attendees will also experience the 'first-of-its-kind' Virtual Sports Experience in El Paso with options for golf, soccer, or football games.
Besides all the activities and attractions, Monkey Rock will also offer plenty of eats with a border twist, from burgers, pizza, wings, salads, tacos, nachos, desserts, and so much more.
The family-fun entertainment center will appeal to not just families but young professionals, high school, and college students looking for a new and unique, and immersive experience.
After months of planning and a couple of delays, the 'All Monkey, No Business' entertainment center will finally open on Friday, October 14, 2022, at 11 a.m. at 750 Sunland Park Unit 100c.
Throughout the delay, Ozzie, the entertainment center's mascot, a hybrid monkey gorilla, has been busy testing out all the attractions and hanging around the mall reading to welcome patrons to the jungle.
Monkey Rock is the first concept in the nation created and designed by a family from Idaho who owns several family-oriented businesses, including an aquarium.
What's also pretty cool is that El Paso was selected by the family as its first location for the flagship entertainment center, with plans to launch the franchise nationwide.

Throughout the years, Sunland Park Mall has seen many of its anchor stores close, from Sears and Macy's to Old Navy and others, yet it continues to thrive thanks to local stores, pop-ups, and businesses moving in.
And now, with the upcoming Grand Opening of Monkey Rock on Friday, October 14, Sunland Park Mall may have just breathed new life into El Paso's only west side indoor mall.
