The City of El Paso Environmental Services Department is issuing a friendly reminder to recycle your cooking oil and grease this Thanksgiving.

This Thanksgiving do not throw out your used grease and cooking oil, instead by Eco-friendly and dispose of it at any of the City’s Citizen Collection Stations.

Used cooking oil should never be disposed of in sinks, drains or toilets. The recommended method is to drop off your used oil at a collection station or to pour the used grease in a tight sealed container and then freeze before throwing it in the trash.

Beginning on Saturday, November 25th El Paso residents can drop off their used oil or grease at any of the five collection stations (Residents do not need a water bill to drop off cooking oil)

  • 2492 Harrison (Central)
  • 121 Atlantic (West)

Hours:

  • Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Regular operating hours are Tuesday through Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. City’s Citizen Collection Stations locations will be closed November 23 and 24 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
