Authentic Mexican Restaurant Expands with New West Michigan Location

A local, authentic Mexican restaurant is expanding with a new location.

Tacos El Cuñado to Open Restaurant in Cedar Springs

Grand Rapids Business Journal reports that Tacos El Cuñado is coming to Cedar Springs.

The new restaurant is located at 4116 17 Mile Road NE in Cedar Springs.

Franchisees Edgar Vazquez and Juan Arias say construction starts Monday, Nov. 15, 2022 at Tacos El Cunado in Cedar Springs and will take five to eight months.

Vazquez tells GRBJ he'd like to expand the Mexican food scene in West Michigan:

I’m Hispanic, Mexican, myself. I’d like to take over a lot of West Michigan and bring more Mexican food to the city. I know it’s here, but I want to throw my spices, my touch into the fold.

Tacos El Cuñado Locations in West Michigan

According to GRBJ, this is the seventh Tacos El Cuñado location to open in West Michigan.

• 1342 Cesar E. Chavez Ave. SW in Grand Rapids
• 435 Ionia Ave. SW (Grand Rapids Downtown Market)
• 1024 Bridge St. NW in Grand Rapids
• 2769 44th St. SW in Wyoming
• 442 Baypark Drive in Holland

While menus vary at different locations, you can expect to find authentic Mexican food at the new Tacos El Cuñado  in Cedar Springs.

Other local Tacos El Cuñado restaurants serve items like quesadillas, burritos, tamales,  and tortas.

Of course, they also serve a variety of tacos!  Protein options include chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, sausage and vegetarian options.
