SWU Park to Increase Capacity to 100% Beginning This Week
On Thursday, May 27, Southwest University Park will be back at 100% capacity just in time as the El Paso Chihuahuas head home.
Seating capacity for all events at Southwest University Park will increase to 100% beginning this Thursday when the El Paso Chihuahuas take on Oklahoma City (Los Angeles Dodgers affiliate) in a six-game series that stretches into Memorial Day weekend.
The El Paso Locomotive FC will follow their return to SWU Park on Wednesday, June 9, taking on Indy Eleven, beginning at 7 p.m.
As capacity increases, patrons are reminded that the CDC has loosened guidelines, and masks will no longer be required for ticketed guests who have received the COVID-19 vaccine. However, facial coverings will still be recommended for unvaccinated guests. Staff and crew at Southwest University Park will also continue to implement health and safety protocols for all games and matches, including hand sanitizer stations and thorough cleaning and sanitization of the facility before, during, and after events.
El Pasoans are invited to join the El Paso Chihuahuas and the El Paso Locomotive for the remainder of the 2021 season.
