Sun Metro Detours Routes for Streetcar Construction Beginning This Weekend

Beginning on Sunday, Sun Metro will detour bus routes as the streetcar construction continues in downtown El Paso.

Due to the ongoing streetcar construction on Oregon St. and for the safety of patrons and drivers all Southbound and Northbound routes (10,11,14,15, 75 and Brio) will be detoured to Mesa St. from Glory Rd. to Yandell Drive effective on June 12, 2016 until further notice.

Glory Road Transfer Center will also be closed for boarding’s however, parking garage, waiting areas and restroom’s will remain open.

Temporary bus stops will be placed on Mesa St. at the following heading southbound intersections:

• Mesa and Robinson far-side of intersection (BRIO and Fixed Route stop) 14,15
• Mesa and Blanchard far-side of intersection (BRIO and Fixed Route stop)10,11,14,15
• Mesa and Shuster far-side of intersection 11,14,15
• Mesa and River far-side of intersection 11,14,15
• Mesa and Arizona far-side intersection (existing) (BRIO and Fixed Route stop)11,14,15,36
• Mesa and Yandell nearside intersection (existing)11,14,15,36

Temporary bus stops will be placed on Mesa St. at the following heading northbound intersections:

• Mesa and Arizona far-side intersection (BRIO and Fixed Route stop)11,14,15,75
• Mesa and Cliff far-side of intersection 11,14,15
• Mesa and Crosby far-side of intersection 11,14,15
• Mesa and Rim far-side of intersection (BRIO and Fixed Route stop) 10,11,14,15,75
• Mesa and Kerbey far-side of intersection 10,14,15
• Mesa and Baltimore far-side of intersection(BRIO and Fixed Route stop)10,14,15,75
