Study Finds That No, Opposites Don't Attract: Contrary to popular belief, opposites do not attract. And it’s not just me saying that, it’s science.

Researchers at the University of California, Berkeley Cal found that you and I are subconsciously drawn to people on the same basic level of attractiveness. Someone in our league, so to speak. So unless you’re model material you probably won’t end up dating a model.

And although people may fantasize about going out with attractive people, when it comes time to actually date, we tend to be more realistic. The researchers tested this by analyzing who contacted who on dating sites. The most popular, attractive users tended to contact other popular, attractive users. The same thing happened with less attractive users. They tended to gravitate towards each other as well.
