Slim Chickens Chain to Open First El Paso Restaurant in Far East
The chicken tenders field will be getting even more crowded in the coming months.
The Arkansas-based chicken chain Slim Chickens will be bringing its sandwiches, tenders, and wings to El Paso's Far East side early next year.

Love Me Tender
The popularity of chicken joints continues to grow in the Sun City.
Between the homegrown Boss Tenders, Dogs & Custards, national chain Raising Cane’s, and just about every major fast-food chicken and burger chain from Popeyes to KFC to Dairy Queen, the chicken finger competition is fierce.
Slim Chickens' expansion to El Paso comes days after River Oaks Properties confirmed Dave's Hot Chicken, another popular chicken chain, was moving in. Dave's Hot Chicken is known for its huge, spicy take on tenders.
Slim Chickens
Slim Chickens' claim to fame are fried chicken tenders served with fries, Texas toast and a choice of 17 dipping sauces.
The menu also includes chicken sandwiches, wings, wraps, salads, chicken and waffles, and sides such as mac and cheese, fried okra, slaw, fried pickles and fried mushrooms.
Random thought: is there a difference between chicken strips, fingers, and tenders or are all of them deep friend poultry breast meat? Asking for a friend. Me, I'm the friend.
