This is the final week of the Plaza Classic Film Festival’s first ever parking lot drive-in movie tour. Among the classic flicks on the schedule is "Selena."

I don’t know about you, but me siento muy...excited!

You know the lines; you know the songs, and Wednesday, August 5, you can watch the film that made Jennifer Lopez a household name once again on the big screen. But because of restrictions and guidelines put in place to combat the pandemic, you will have to bidi bidi bom bom from inside your vehicle. But, hey, anything for Salinas, right?

The drive-in style screening will take place on the El Paso County Coliseum grounds. Fitting since "The Barn" -- as long time El Pasoans affectionately refer to it as --  was the site of the Queen's last El Paso performance on Aug. 6, 1994, six months before she was tragically shot and killed in her hometown of Corpus Christi.

El Paso native Lupe Ontiveros (September 17, 1942 – July 26, 2012) costars as Yolanda Saldívar, the former fan club president who was convicted of the murder.
