We complain around here when the spring winds hit, dust clouds billow up all over town, the heat of the summer, and then the two weeks out of the year that our swamp coolers don't work because of the 'monsoon season'. But I think all that is nothing compared to the kind of craziness that happens in the rest of the country when the roads ice up during the winter.

This I-95 crash on the New Jersey turnpike was caused by black ice on the roadway.

Give me blowing dust and sand any day.
