El Pasoans are invited to a walking tour of the Rio Bosque Park in March.

Everyone is invited to the 2-mile walking tour of the Rio Bosque Park to learn about the parks animal and plant life in the region.

Hosted by the Chihuahuan Desert Education Coalition, attendees will have a chance to learn more about the Rio Bosque Park's ecosystem along with the multi-pronged approach that gets water to the park, restoration and recovery of damaged ecosystems as well as the historic environmental conditions in the Rio Grande Valley.

What you will need:

  • Bring plenty of drinking water
  • Sunscreen
  • Binoculars
  • Comfortable walking shoes (No open-toed footwear)
  • Hat or cap

Those folks who are planning to attend will need to meet at the Riverside Canal Bridge. Directions: From 1-10 take Americas Ave to Loop 375 south to Pan Americas, turn left and travel 1.5 miles to the bridge.
