The Plaza Classic Film Festival is pulling out all the stops for their 10th anniversary celebration.

Last month they announced that Kathleen Turner will be in town for two days to discuss two of her movies, Romancing the Stone and Peggy Sue Got Married. You’ll also be able to meet her at a reception before her second appearance at the Plaza Theater.

Officials with the film festival weren’t content with just Turner and have announced that Hollywood legend Richard Dreyfuss will also spend two days in El Paso and introduce and discuss two of his classic films.

Dreyfuss will be on-stage for an interview at the Plaza Theater before a screening of the 1975 blockbuster ‘Jaws’ on Saturday, August 12. He will be back for another on-stage appearance on Sunday, August 1 before the screening of his movie, Mr. Holland’s Opus. You’ll get the chance to meet Dreyfuss up close and personal for an autograph signing from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, August 12 in the Foundation Room, 333 N. Oregon Street, across from San Jacinto Plaza.

Hollywood really is coming to El Paso for the Plaza Classic Film Festival, so check out Kathleen Turner when she is in town, and El Paso-born animator Don Bluth when he takes the Plaza Theater stage.
