It’s going to be an arts and crafts kind of weekend this weekend.

If you like handmade jewelry and homemade soaps and jams then you’ll want to attend the re-scheduled Fall edition of Art in the Park this Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 11 and 12.

Due to thunderstorms that rolled through the area at the end of September, The City of El Paso Parks and Recreation Department was forced to postpone the semi-annual arts and crafts fair. But fear not lovers of all things artsy and crafty, because the weekend of shopping, strolling and socializing in the park is finally upon us.

The two day event takes place at Memorial Park on Copper Street, and features not only local arts and crafts vendors, but activities for children and continuous entertainment as well. Food and drink is also available for a nominal fee.

Fair hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Admission is free. Pets allowed but must be leashed at all times.
