Reese Witherspoon and Daughter Ava Look Identical in Instagram Photo

Since she was only a toddler, Ava Elizabeth Phillippe — daughter of actors Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe — has been a doppelganger for her famous mom. Now, at age 16, with her blonde locks, blue eyes and freckled nose, the teenager is even more a look-a-like for Reese... so much so that a new photo posted on Instagram has people seeing double!

On Friday (July 8), while enjoying some "mother daughter time" on a tropical getaway, the Academy Award-winning actress shared a selfie of her and Ava relaxing at a tiki bar near the beach — and the image shows the mind-blowing, twin-like similarity between the pair.

Everything from the shape of their faces to the structure of their noses is the same: Same hair, same eyes, same smile!

In fact, Ava could undoubtedly pass for her mom's younger self. Just check out this photo of Reese, age 20, in 1996:

Ava was born in September 1999 to Reese and Ryan, who met at the actress's 21st birthday party in March 1997. They had two children — Ava and her younger brother, Deacon — before divorcing in 2006.
