The dinosaur trail is now open and ready for hikers this weekend.

Did you know there are over three miles of nature trails at the dinosaur track site in El Paso?

It’s true. There are real dinosaur tracks all around El Paso and Juarez and this weekend you can visit the dinosaur tracks and also see an entire hill of fossils.

This is a fun and moderate hike around the base of Mt. Cristo Rey. You’ll see hundreds of dinosaur tracks and many other fossils, and will learn about the modern environment and history of Mt. Cristo Rey.

If you love an active lifestyle and are always looking for an outdoor experience then the dinosaur trail is for you.

The hike is about 2.5 miles with tracker Eric Kappus and two guided hikes will be provided:

  • Saturday, November 8, 2014
  • First tour - 8:00a-10:30a
  • Second tour - 11:00a-1:30p
  • $7.50 per person
