I’m a boy mom and when my son was younger it was always a task to keep him busy. One thing he loved the most was interactive experiences but especially aquariums because he had a fascination with the sea and all the sea creatures involved!

I’ve been to tons of Interactive Aquariums out of El Paso and I have always loved taking my son on mini-road trips, but when I heard that El Paso would finally have one of its own I was excited knowing that I wouldn't have to travel far away to try something new with my son.

The Shoppes At Solana in west El Paso are introducing an exciting addition to their lineup of businesses: Jungle Reef! This new business will be the first and only interactive aquarium in El Paso.

Transforming the former Old Navy space, Jungle Reef is not just an aquarium; it's an interactive experience where visitors can touch, feed, and get up close and personal with a diverse range of animals.

Jungle Reef is scheduled for a grand opening weekend from February 9th to 11th.

It will definitely be a destination location for families, friends, and school field trips who want to interact with sharks, birds, stingrays, otters, and reptiles.

I went to check out Jungle Reef before their grand opening and I was pleasantly surprised at how big the aquarium was!

The second you walk in you’ll be greeted with a gift shop that has Sea World vibes with all the colorful plush toys in the gift shop.

Once you walk into the actual aquarium you’ll be able to experience the Discovery Station which allows kids to have a hands-on mining experience.

My son was mostly excited to see the sea otters and those precious little creatures did not disappoint!

We caught them swimming around, playing with their toys and looking precious! We weren't able to interact with them the day we visited BUT guests will be able to interact with the sea otters when Jungle Reef opens their doors to the public.

This family-owned venture is spearheaded by the Hepworth brothers, who bring over 20 years of construction experience to the table.

Their successful track record, highlighted by the recent establishment of "Monkey Rock," an entertainment venue featuring bowling, arcades, a full bar, and a restaurant, showcases their commitment to creating engaging spaces.

Jungle Reef's address is 750 Shoppes At Solana. The interactive aquarium will take over the spot where Old Navy once was.
