Read a Book and Meet the El Paso K-9 Unit at an EP Public Library
This summer kids might want to get out of the house more than ever. All that homeschooling can really take a toll on a kid feeling like they have been locked up in the house.
Instead of letting them mentally escape by staring at a screen, get up and go out to the Dorria San Doren Regional Library to not only read a book but to meet a furry officer.
These officers are the El Paso Police Department's K-9 Unit and they are ready to help teach children all the hard work they do on the job.
You know these dogs are going to be on their best behavior, so you can worry less about having your energetic children petting these dogs.
There is no fear with these pups as they are risking their lives each day as they head out to work with their fellow human officers.
The El Paso public library is giving El Pasoan and the officers involved with the event an opportunity to positively connect with the community. Through the power of Tails & tales, a program by the El Paso public library, kids can start to build a relationship with the El Paso police department and all they do for our community.
This event will be happening July 9th, 2021 at 3 pm at the Dorris Van Doren regional library location, over on redd road. If you have any questions about the event, you can contact them at 915-212-0440
