Bridge Demolition Will Close I-10 Lanes in West El Paso Again This Weekend

Heads up west side commuters; more bridge demolition this Sunday, August 21, 2016.

Crews will demolish the remaining US 85 Overpass (Paisano Bridge) starting at 3 a.m. and that means lane closures.

Specifically, all lanes on I-10 West and two on I-10 East will be shutdown. The good news is you won’t be forced to detour onto North Mesa this time.

Per the GO 10 Facebook page, the detour route for westbound traffic will be “a quick off-and-on” that won’t require getting on Mesa. Westbound traffic will be detoured off of I-10 at the Sunland Park Exit and will be allowed to immediately re-enter I-10 Westbound prior to the Sunland Park Overpass.

I-10 Eastbound will be reduced to 1 lane between the Sunland Park Overpass and Buena Vista.

All I-10 lanes will open again by 5 a.m. Monday, August 22.
