Sun Metro Is Offering Free Rides On Election Day

I'm super lucky - my polling place is within walking distance to my house, but some people might need a ride to cast their vote. Sun Metro is helping out with free bus rides to the polls on Tuesday, November 6, Election Day.

You'll need a valid form of voter identification for Sun Metro and Lift services on Election Day. Because getting to the poll can be a challenge for some, that free ride will increase access to poll locations and give citizens the chance to cast their votes during this midterm election.

Valid forms of voter identification include:

Texas Driver’s license
Texas Election ID Certificate
Texas Handgun License
U.S. Citizenship certificate with photo
U.S. Military ID
U.S. Passport
A government document with name and address of the voter

If you are a registered Lift Paratransit customer, you need to schedule your trip in accordance with Sun Metro & Lift policies and procedures.
