March 8th is National Pancake Day and IHOP will celebrate by giving out free pancakes at participating restaurants and simultaneously raise money for the Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Last year IHOP raised $3.5 million and served up over 6 million free pancakes nationwide. This year IHOP will partner with Snapchat to develop Sponsored Geofilters for customers dining at IHOP on National Pancake Day. Geofilters are fun and engaging location-based art that can be added to photo and video Snaps that will reveal creative overlays when you dine in the restaurant.

On March 8th participating IHOP restaurants will offer each guest dining in, one free short stack of buttermilk pancakes in an effort to raise funds for Shriners Hospitals for Children. The Shriners Hospital for Children offers innovative pediatric specialty care, world-class research and outstanding medical education for children with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
