And then there was one...  Todd Bridges is the only remaining survivor of one of tv's most iconic families.

Conrad Bain, the man who played Mr. Drummond on 'Diff'rent Strokes', died on Monday of natural causes.  He was the stereotypical late 70's early 80's tv dad, which means he was bumbling and well meaning, but everyone around him seemed to be smarter than him.  Of course, by the end of the half hour, as is the way in classic tv sitcoms, the old-fashioned advice that he dished out, was always exactly the right way to handle things.  Everyone would be surprised at how smart the dad actually was, and all would be right with the world.

That's how Mr. Drummond was - a great dad who loved everyone around him, and only wanted the best for them.  By all accounts, that's how Conrad Bain was, as well.  Unfortunately for his tv kids, things didn't seem to go as smoothly for them in real life.

Rest in peace, Mr. Drummond, and thanks for the tv memories!
