Monika’s Top 5 Songs of The Week
Check out the top 5 tunes I’m listening to this week including music from Twenty One Pilots, Elle King and a new single from Blue October.
My listening mood changes often but I’m always trying to listen to new music from new, established or breaking artists and this week my list includes music from the upcoming studio albums from Blue October and Twenty One Pilots along with the new releases from of Elle King and The 1975. Rounding it all out is the Rosanna Toto cover by Weezer, which is all kinds of good if you ask me and a bonus of Toto covering Weezer’s Hash Pipe.
Twenty One Pilots – Jumpsuit
After a yearlong hiatus from social media, Twenty One Pilots are back with a new tune in Jumpsuit. The single was immediately devoured by yearning fans and rightfully so since these alt-rock guys show every sign of dominating the charts. Their new album Trench is slated to drop October 5th with a full tour to follow.
The 1975 – Love It If We Made
If you are not familiar with The 1975 then you need to download all their tunes and start listening asap. The band is getting ready to release their third studio album titled, A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships in October featuring their new single, Love It If You Made It.
Blue October – I’ll Do Me You Do You
I had the opportunity to listen to the upcoming Blue October album, I Hope You’re Happy (coming August 17) and it is filled with such memorable tunes including their recent release of I’ll Do Me You Do You. The song takes a transformative look at one’s relationships realizing that in order to be able to love, you must begin by loving yourself. Don't miss Blue October performing in El Paso September 15, 2018.
Elle King – Shame
Elle King is back with a new album and single in Shame, the follow up to her 2015 album Love Stuff.
