HELP: 22 Kids Have Gone Missing Since June in Arizona
Talking about the children who have gone missing in Arizona never gets easier. It's a tragic truth that every month more boys and girls disappear.
Although the topic may not be the easiest to discuss, it is very important. I like to think that writing about and spreading information about the kids who have gone missing could help at least some kids be found. All it takes is one person seeing this story who knows something to help bring a kid home.
Since the start of June until today (July 11), 22 boys and girls have been missing in Arizona. Of those, 6 are boys and 16 are girls. These kids range from the ages of 11 to 17.
How can you find information on missing kids to help?
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children has a nationwide database of kids who have gone missing. If you search Arizona, you can find information on every missing child at this time. They put information up on kids 17 or younger.
You will see photos, missing dates, age, location they're from, and sometimes extra information on each child to help.
Families are also able to report their child missing to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. The public can also report any findings and any suspected exploitation to the organization.
What happened to these kids?
Information as to why each of these children went missing is not provided. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children does explain that a lot of times kids can be runaways, or were taken by a family member.
But at the end of the day, that isn't the important part. What is important is trying to locate these kids and bring them to safety no matter the reason behind their disappearance.
If you want to help find these kids, please look through the photos below to see if you recognize any of their names or faces. Any tips, big or small, could play a large part in bringing these 22 boys and girls back safely.
If you have any information you think could be helpful, call the law enforcement agency listed below under each child OR call 800-843-5678 (800-THE-LOST).
