Mike’s the Stupid News: Underage Drinkers Pretending to be Cooks Busted When They Couldn’t Turn on the Grill

Police in Carmel, Indiana recently raided the Double Apple Lounge bar and restaurant  after repeated reports it was serving minors.

At first they didn't find any minors, but that's only because of quick thinking by the bar owner.  As the cops were approaching, the owner told the three underage girls drinking there run  into the kitchen and pretend to be cooks.  The plan might have worked had any of the three known how to operate the grill! Consequenlty, when the police went into the kitchen, they found three underage girls who not only weren't dressed like cooks, they were also pretending to cook on a cold grill. Doh!

The bar is now facing 16 charges, including selling alcohol to minors and hindering law enforcement. The girls were cited for being in a bar and illegal consumption of alcohol.
