Paul Coombs of Florida was recently arrested after repeatedly calling 911 to claim he'd been kidnapped by his cab driver. The driver told cops that Coombs was rambling incoherently and smelled strongly of urine, so he drove him back to the cab depot where he was picked up. That prompted Coombs to call 911 and insist he was being kidnapped.

Coombs ended up settling his fare, but apparently wouldn’t leave well enough alone and dialed 911 seven more times to report the "crime." After being warned that more calls could lead to an arrest, Coombs reportedly said he had a checkbook and didn't care about going to jail. That was a good thing since that’s exactly where Coombs ended up.
