The other day during the show, Mike found this story about scientists who had brought a mummy back to life. Well, they at least brought his voice back to life. The story outlined how the scientists had determined what the mummy would sound like by the shape of his neck bones and what a person with the kind of soft tissue surrounding his bones might sound like. They explained the mummy like this in an article from nature.comarticle from nature.comarticle from nature.com

The mummy "had suffered from gum disease and severely worn teeth, yet nonetheless “had a strong well-developed mandible”, which, like the maxilla, was ‘prognathic’, and “clearly Nubian blood had once coursed through his veins”

I'm not particularly sure what all that means, but I do know that when Mike played the clip, it was so danged underwhelming and hilarious that we couldn't stop laughing. I'm pretty sure that this mummy made the noise ascribed to him by scientists but he probably only did it when he was not impressed by what he was looking at. We call him the 'Meh' Mummy, and we're pretty sure you will too.
