Mexican Music Legend Luis Miguel Adds El Paso to Tour
After announcing his first tour in years this past spring and ignoring El Paso, Mexican music legend Luis Miguel has righted the wrong and added more Texas tour stops, one of which will be the Sun City.
A favorite with Borderland audiences, "El Sol de México" is no stranger to El Paso. The popular singer performed in El Paso in 2015, 2018, and 2019. You can now add 2024 to that list.
In April, Luis Miguel released tour dates for a 43-city international tour that included dates in South Texas in Hidalgo on October 28, followed by stops in Dallas (October 29), Houston (November 2), San Antonio (November 4), and Austin (November 5).
El Paso was the only major Texas city not on the original itinerary.
But when the next leg of his tour kicks off in January, the Latin superstar will be returning to the Don Haskins Center on Wednesday, May 1, and Thursday, May 2, 2024, according to the UTEP Special Events Center.
Other Texas cities on the second half of his U.S. tour include Laredo (May 4), and return dates in Austin (May 5), Dallas (May 8), Hidalgo (May 10), San Antonio (May 11) and Houston (May 15).
According to Billboard, the Grammy Award winner has notched 16 No. 1 songs on Billboard‘s Hot Latin Songs chart, and had the highest-grossing Latin tour in history until Bad Bunny's 2022 tour surpassed his.
Tickets for both shows in El Paso will go on sale Friday, August 11 at 10 a.m.
