Huge Memorial Day Weekend Farmers Market Coming to East El Paso
UPDATE 5/6/21: Representatives with the Country Club Farmers Market have informed us that this event didn't work out and has been canceled.
El Paso "biggest market of the year" is coming to the east side at the end of May.
The people who bring you the Upper Valley Market, and Country Club Farmers Market are teaming up with El Paso’s Corn Maze to bring the farmers market experience to the Far East over the Memorial Day weekend.
According to the website, it’s called Sun City Market East and the plan is to host about 200 local vendors to include farmers, artists, artisans, chefs, and bakers. Each offering either handcrafted goods, crafts and treats, or a variety of seasonal fruits and veggies.
Food trucks, a beer garden and live music from Steel Queen is also being touted on its Facebook post.
And it’s going to be kid-friendly, too. There will be activities to distract them so they don’t annoy you with the constant ‘I’m bored’ routine. No details yet on exactly how the kids will be kept entertained, but El Paso’s Corn Maze at El Paso’s Farm Land is already set up with kiddie adventures like a cow train, pedal cars, and a tire pyramid so I’m going to presume they’ll be in play on market day.
With quick access to I-10, ample parking, a pecan grove, and picturesque views, El Paso’s Corn Maze at El Paso’s Farm Land is an ideal place to hold this event.
Sun City Market looks to be a one-time thing for now, but if it gets a good turnout maybe it becomes a regular thing for the rest of the year. Save the date.
