Those who like their veggies and fruits direct from local farmers and want to get out of the house for a few hours on a weekend mid-afternoon can do so at one of several farmers markets around town.

County Club Farmers Market, Upper Valley Artists and Farmers Market, and Farmers Market at Ardovino’s Desert Crossing all plan to have numerous vendors slinging their wares and organically grown alternatives in a fresh air shopping setting.

And while it’s a slightly different experience these days what with the whole COVID thing, they’ve adapted and adjusted to the world we’re currently living in with mandatory face coverings, hand sanitizing stations, social distancing, and as little contact as possible.

If, like me, you’ve been doing more cooking post-coronavirus, which means more buying, but you’d rather not be inside a grocery store, might I suggest taking in the pleasant winter weather living in El Paso affords us.

Everyone wears a mask, and it’s outdoors, which all the health experts say is safer for everyone. Plus, it’s nice to support local farmers. That’s a tough business, and God bless them for wanting to do it.
